Ultimate Boot CD is a
bootable recovery CD that contains software used for repairing,
restoring, or diagnosing almost any computer problem. Our goal is to be
the most complete and easy to use free computer diagnostic tool. Almost
all software included in Ultimate Boot CD are freeware utilities for
Windows®. Some of the tools inlcuded are "free for personal use" copies
so users need to respect these licenses. A few of the tools included in
Ultimate Boot CD are paid for and licensed software owned by UBCD4win.
On occasion we work with software companies/authors for permission to
include their software in our download or have requested their software
better support PE. Users can freely share copies of Ultimate Boot CD
with friends but selling Ultimate Boot CD for a profit is not
acceptable. We have worked hard for many years helping people for free

Bart's PE© builds a Windows® "pre-install" environment CD, basically a
simple Windows® XP booted from CD. Ultimate Boot CD includes network
support and allows you the ability to modify NTFS volumes, recover
deleted files, create new NTFS volumes, scan hard drives for viruses,
etc. Our download includes almost everything you need to repair your
system problems. This project has been put together to be the ultimate
recovery cd and not a replacement OS (Operating System). Please visit

You need the Ultimate Boot CD if you want to:

Run floppy-based diagnostic tools from CDROM drives. More and more PCs
are shipped without floppy drives these days, and it is such a royal
pain when you need to run diagnostic tools on them.

Free yourself from the slow loading speed of the floppy drive. Even if
you do have a floppy drive, it is still much much faster to run your
diagnostic tools from the CDROM drive, rather than wait for the tool to
load from the floppy drive.

Consolidate as many diagnostic tools as possible into one bootable CD.
Wouldn't you like to avoid digging into the dusty box to look for the
right floppy disk, but simply run them all from a single CD? Then the
Ultimate Boot CD is for you!

Run Ultimate Boot CD from your USB memory stick. A script on the CD
prepares your USB memory stick so that it can be used on newer machines
that supports booting from USB devices. You can access the same tools as
you would from the CD version.

Fixed
a regression in
"\ubcd\tools\linux\syslinux2grub4dos\syslinux2grub4dos.sed" that causes
converted grub4dos scripts to be missing the "ubcdcmd" parameter.

grub4dos to 0.4.5c-2013-05-21 and adopted Explorer09's suggestion to
change the border color of the grub4dos menu to match syslinux's by
updating "\ubcd\tools\linux\syslinux2grub4dos\syslinux2grub4dos.sed".

Parted Magic to 2013_05_01_i586. This version fixes the issue of
Firefox maxing out CPU, but has a regression in running from RAM. As
such, I have commented out that option for this release so that only the
"live" boot option is available.
